Stunning film.
Makes me rethink my whole "dating for security"
nonsense that I tend to feed myself. In particular
the monologues in which the guys discuss being able
to remove the humanity of people in order to achieve
their objectives be they a one night stand or murder.

Fillms: Assassination of a High School President, Brett Simon (2009)

This is the sad story of what happens when a well written,
smartly cast, beautifully shot film ends up not being shown
because its distributor went bankrupt just prior to its release.
Reese Thompson is fantastic, Bruce Willis is hilarious
Misha Barton is pretty as always. And a quite nice performance
by Patrick Taylor who, only having a Law and Order credit apart
from this indie film, might have been poised to be one of Hollywood's
up and coming golden boys.

So, here's what I missed.

A beautiful little film documenting the 26 December
blizzard in my neighborhood in Astoria, New York.
Glad I missed it, but now I have to go back to it
and face the muck laden glaciers on every street corner.

Terrifyingly Alluring.

Films: Coco Chanel et Igor Stravinsky, Jan Kounen (2009)

Seriously one of the most gorgeous cinematography I have ever seen.
Worth seeing for so many reasons, including the opening sequence which
reenacts Stravinsky’s 1913 “Rite of Spring”at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées
in Paris including the riot which erupted as a result.

Films: Get him to the Greek, Nicholas Stoller (2010)

I have to say I loved it.
I thought it would be a slightly
tragic mess, but I loved it.
The best soundtrack I've heard in
a while, including a song about
bangers and mash, what's not to love
about that. Even if it was attached to
possibly the most insane date I've
ever been on.

Note to self. STAY ON THE BUGGERY ISLAND!!
